Scholarships
Scholarships attract high-calibre students from Australia and abroad. They act as an incentive for students to strive for and achieve excellence in their studies. They also provide support for students who might otherwise be unable to take up a university place. The University of Adelaide recognises that those who are financially or educationally disadvantaged should not be denied access to quality tertiary education.

Scholars' dollars make a difference
More than 30 scholarship providers, recipients and their guests turned out at a special Scholarship Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday 28 April, 2009 to celebrate the difference that scholarships make to the lives of students. Read the full Lumen article.

New scholarships funds are being sought in each of the following categories:
- First year undergraduate entry (Australian and overseas students);
- Undergraduate honours year entry (Australian and overseas students);
- Higher degree by research entry (Australian and overseas students);
- Study abroad (Australian students);
- Postdoctoral fellowships (Australian and overseas students).
There are opportunities for named scholarships (recognising donors, benefactors and/or distinguished persons of The University of Adelaide); specific academic area scholarships; indigenous scholarships; sports-oriented scholarships; and designated country/region scholarships.

- Naming rights according to the wishes of the donor/benefactor
- Advertising of the Scholarship/s in the State, nationally and internationally

- Public recognition and attendance at Award Ceremonies
