Dr Kristofer Helgen [PhD, 2007] has been appointed Research Scientist and Curator of Mammals at the National Museum of Natural History of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., the world's largest scientific collection of mammals. In 2009 he was named as an Emerging Explorer by the National Geographic Society, one of the society's highest honors.

A team lead by Dr Zibby Kruk [PhD (Ag Sc) 2001] based in South Korea, won the prize for "Best Research and Development Collaboration" at the Business-Higher Education Round Table Awards held in Melbourne on the 21st of November 2008. Dr Kruk and his team from the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine were commended for their research into a range of natural sheep diets that can be used to manipulate the flavour, colour and odour of lamb, characteristics that can influence the meat’s marketability, particularly in Asia.

Andrew Brader [MBA 2000] During and after study for his MBA at the Graduate School of Management, Andrew worked as a management consultant first with Price Waterhouse (Principal Consultant), PricewaterhouseCoopers (Director) and finally IBM Business Consulting Services (Associate Partner). In these roles, Andrew has provided consulting services to small and large companies across multiple industries both in Australia and overseas, culminating in his move to Switzerland in 2000 and key contribution to the Nestlé GLOBE (GLObal Business Excellence) Program which is widely recognised as the largest information technology enabled business transformation project ever undertaken by any organization. In 2005 Andrew joined Nestlé USA Inc. as Director – GLOBE Solution and Implementation and Division Vice President. In January, 2009, Andrew joined Lodestone Management Consultants Inc. as a Director in their US Office. Lodestone, founded in 2005, with headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland and offices in 15 countries across 4 continents was recently recognized as one of the fastest growing Swiss companies.
