2012 John Bray Oration

The 2012 John Bray Oration was held on 1 September to commemorate the centenary of Dr Bray's birth. The oration entitled 'Choosing our Judges', was delivered by the Hon John Doyle AC QC in the Mortlock Chamber, State Library of South Australia and attended by more than 100 guests.

The Hon John Doyle AC QC has recently retired, after 17 years, as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia. He has devoted his working life to the law, initially as an advocate and later as a judge. He served as Solicitor-General for South Australia in the nine years prior to his appointment as Chief Justice. During his tenure as Chief Justice he chaired the National Judicial College of Australia.
